French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The name implies that GE's Profile series is geared towards those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchen. This fridge has them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker in the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I was expecting better.

This fridge is a great option, despite the slight blip. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen food as compared to similar models.

The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in world, and offers a ton of customization options. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water remains, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items and a separate storage bin for ice.
